• Associate of Science in Nursing

The program emphasizes theory, as well as hands-on practice. Clarita graduates of this program will be qualified for the entry level position as a vocational nurse, functioning as part of the interdisciplinary health care team in selected health care settings with individuals, families, and communities across the life span.

The practice of practical nursing is based on concepts from the physical, biological, and behavioral sciences. Each state has its own nurse practice act, so the scope of practice varies from state to state. Practical nursing students benefit from extensive hands-on learning in one-year programs.
